About Us
The Insurance Department of NSF Engagement Corporation was initiated in April 1961. Since then, we have served as an in-house insurance agency to the Sony Group, and acted as a function for cash-out savings.
In line with our slogan of "In-House Agent Value," we are working towards creating values that only our department can provide as a member of the Sony Group. Based upon our knowledge and know-how on Sony Group's systems and work styles, we have offered customers with advice best suited to their needs. Also, we are entrusted from Sony Headquarters to design and operate the Sony Group's insurances of welfare system, such as "Group Insurance", "Safety Plan", "Group Long Term Disability","Comprehensive Individual Pension" and "Nursing Care Support Plan". Sony employees, their family members as well as retirees.
This website has been developed as part of our contribution towards the Sony Group with the aim of providing information on insurance policies and matters surrounding them. The content of this website is in Japanese. Also, the terms and conditions of these insurance policies are stipulated in Japanese, and are governed by and to be construed according to the laws of Japan.

Personal Insurance
Automobile
In Japan, there is compulsory automobile liability insurance, and voluntary automobile insurance. We mainly offer voluntary insurance. Voluntary insurance covers bodily injury and property damage legal liability to any other person by an automobile accident, medical payments of bodily injury of any other person while occupying your covered auto, and damage to your own auto. If you satisfy certain requirements, a group discount will be applied to the premium of your automobile insurance policy. We offer the automobile insurance plans of Sony Assurance Inc., Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd., and Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Company, Limited.
Homeowners
Homeowners cover the damage caused by fire/water, lightning, explosions, etc. If you live in rented accommodation, check tenants' liability insurance which covers the recompense against the owner. Earthquake insurance covers damages caused by earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and tsunamis.(However, a claim settlement shall be determined by the level of damage caused.) If you satisfy certain requirements, a group discount will be applied and the insurance premium of your homeowners insurance policy. We offer Homeowners of Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire Insurance Co., Ltd., and Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Company, Limited.
Health
Medical-care insurance plans provide coverage for expenses when you undergo medical treatment such as surgery or hospitalization due to illness or injury. This insurance differs from the public health insurance. We also handle cancer insurance. We offer the medical-care insurance and cancer insurance plans of Sony Life Insurance Co., Ltd., and Aflac. (We do not offer dental insurance.)

Sony Group Insurance for Welfare
The insurance for welfare listed below, are available for enrollment during the Insurance-Month held once in autumn annually.
Group Insurance
This is an insurance plan to secure compensation in the case of death or specified severe disabilities.Its basic contract, the Group Term Insurance, can cover benefits of up to 60 million yen for the death/specified severe disabilities of the insured, and 10 million yen for the spouse of the insured person.
Safety Plan
This insurance plan covers a wide variety of risks in daily life that Sony group employees and their family members might encounter and provides benefits in case of hospitalization due to illness, injuries, accidents,etc. The optional plans cover personal liabilities and compensate the income loss of a Sony group employee due to taking leave of absence from work caused under the specified conditions.
Group Long Term Disability
This insurance plan protects you from loss of income in the event that you are unable to work due to illness, injury, or accident for a long period of time. This plan provides benefits in case of hospitalization and also recuperation at home up to 60 years old. The payments due to psychological disorders have a defined period of time, three years.
Comprehensive Individual Pension
This plan is an individual pension plan to prepare for life after retirement. Both of the two types, My Plan and "Gacchiri" Plan, are effective for reducing your tax burden under the taxation system in Japan. You can accumulate the premiums using your salaries and bonuses, but you cannot apply for bonus accumulation if you do not receive bonuses.
Nursing Care Support Plan
This insurance plan offers coverage for Sony group employees in need of taking nursing care of their parents, parents-in-law and siblings who are disabled and/or suffer from dementia so that the employees can balance caregiving and work. The plan compensates various expenses and copayments to be incurred when the said family members utilize public and private nursing care services including residential costs for nursing homes and transportation fares to day-care/rehabilitation facilities. The coverage can activate when the said family members with dementia are certified as Care Level 1 or above, the disabled other than dementia persons being certified as Care Level 2 or above by the relevant municipalities. With the monetary compensations above, insurance subscribers can take exclusive advantage of teleconsultation with professionals on work and nursing care balance, tailored only to Sony group. They can also access an exclusive web-site full of pragmatic contents and valuable tips that would alleviate concerns about nursing cares.
